Good to know

  • It is the closest island to the villa, so it suits toddlers, a half day and a first outing after a long flight.
  • Avoid Long Beach at midday; the shared boats land there. Banana Beach is where a private boat goes.
  • The reason to take a catamaran here is the sunset on the way back; the reason to take a speedboat is to be back for lunch.

Questions

Is a half day enough?

Yes for a swim and the reef. A full day makes sense with a lunch on the island and Racha in the afternoon.

Is it crowded?

Long Beach is, between 11:00 and 15:00. Banana Beach and the north reef are quiet, and a private boat anchors where the crowd is not.

Can we add Racha?

Yes. Coral Island in the morning and Racha for the afternoon is the standard private day from Chalong.
