About this boat

THE BEST is a Catlante 600 ocean catamaran - sixty feet, six cabins, and the kind of deck space that turns a boat day into a proper occasion. She was built for long ocean passages, which on a day around Phuket means she is fast, flat and quiet, and there is somewhere to sit whether you want the sun, the shade or the trampolines forward. The saloon runs the full width of the bridgedeck with windows all round, and the galley is a real one. She sleeps fourteen overnight and takes forty-eight on a day charter, which puts her in a different class from almost anything else leaving Chalong. Where she goes is a genuine choice: Koh He for an easy day, Racha Yai and Promthep Cape for the long one, or Koh Khai and Maithon for the clearest water and the best chance of dolphins. As with the other Max boats, the listed prices cover a party of up to six - tell us the real headcount and we will quote her properly.

Is the price for the whole boat or per person?

For the whole boat. THE BEST - 60ft Sailing Catamaran takes up to 48 guests and the listed prices cover all of them. Crew, fuel and insurance are included unless the boat says otherwise.

What is included?

Included: Private whole-boat charter with captain and crew, Six cabins, full-width saloon and galley, Sailing equipment, Snorkelling equipment and life jackets. Not included: Guests beyond six - quoted on request, National park entrance fees, Hotel transfers to and from Chalong Pier, Meals, unless stated in the programme. Anything else, ask us and we add it to the quote.

Where does the boat leave from?

THE BEST - 60ft Sailing Catamaran departs from Chalong Pier. We can arrange the transfer from your hotel; tell us where you stay in the request.

What if the weather turns?

The captain decides on the morning. If the sea is unsafe we move the day or return your deposit in full. From May to October we plan Phang Nga Bay and the east-coast islands rather than Phi Phi.

How do I book and pay?

Send the request with your date and guests. We confirm availability in your language, usually within the hour, and send a deposit link once the day is agreed: cards, SBP and MIR.
