Maiton island

A private island fifteen minutes east of Phuket with a long white beach, a giant clam reef, a view point over the Andaman and dolphins on the crossing. Landing is limited, so the beach is never full.

Departure: Minibus rounds from 06:30; the boat leaves when the last hotel is collected, around 09:00; You set the time. The boat waits for you, not the other way round
The route: One fixed itinerary, the same order every day; The captain sets the order for the tide, the light and the crowds, and changes it on the water if you ask
Time at each stop: 30 to 45 minutes, then the whistle; As long as you like; skip what you do not

Good to know

Landing is limited, so we book the island before the boat. Give us your date early.
Catamarans anchor off and tender in; speedboats land on the beach.
It is a resort island: no camping stoves, no music on the beach, and the bar closes when the resort says so.

Questions

Can we land on Maiton?

Yes, by arrangement with the resort and within its daily cap, which is why we confirm the island before we confirm the boat.

Is there lunch?

Yes, at the resort's beach restaurant, priced per guest, or on board a catamaran.

How is Maiton different from Coral Island?

Maiton is quieter, smaller and more expensive, with a better reef and a cap on visitors. Coral Island is closer, busier and cheaper, with sea sports.
